Due to issues concerning the future of the PDRS, the Politburo was dissolved in the early days of March 2013. Authority over matters of State and all duties that fell to the various ministers of the Politburo now fall to the National Emergency Governing Task Force, comprised of Premier Daryl Paliano and Minister James Deverson.
History of the People's Democratic Republic of Straka
The People's Democratic Republic of Straka is the result of the combined effort of a group of South Australian students with left-wing ideals and an interest in politics. First conceptualized on the 19th of April 2011, the People's Democratic Republic of Straka was officially founded on the 9th of August 2011. To date, the People's Democratic Republic of Straka has not yet laid claim to any territory whatsoever. Several projects are underway to enhance Straka's progress as a micronation, including the recruitment of citizens and the forging of strong diplomatic relations with other micronations.

The People's Democratic Republic of Straka is a Marxist-Leninist socialist republic. The Premier is the leader of the National Communist Party of Straka and head of the Politburo, which is comprised of four People's Commissariats - the People's Commissariat for Defence and the Interior, the People's Commissariat for Public Information and Foreign Affairs, the People's Commissariat for Infrastructure and Economic Development and the People's Comissariat for Health, Welfare and Education.Each Commissariat is home to one or more government departments.
